cmeler is a perfect cocktail of Mediterranean and Aegean. It resembles a paradise with it's very green lushious surroundings and hidden among pine forests and mountains. It's long clean coast of crystal like sea have won the region several times the prestigious prize of International Blue Flag.

It is an exemplary tourist town with it's harmonious settlement and completed infrastructure.

You are able to get the utmostenjoyment of the sea and sun for on average, 200-250 days of the year because of it's mild climate. It's regular humidity rate is 50-70% during the summer and winter, which brews an ideal setting for human health. The temperature is usually between 20-25c during the high holiday season (april and december). For roughly 60-90 days of the year there is abundant rain fall, which accounts for the very green landscape.

Not only the surroundings of pine forest but also the city centre of Icmeler reminds you of a botanical garden. Besides the palm trees and Eucalyptus there are a variety of fruit trees decorating the centre, with many types of Seville orange trees and of course olive trees. Among these plants the most important and precious is one called Gunnuk; another name for this is S�gla, which is a natural wonder in itself in that the only other place this is found is California.

It is said to be the highest oxygen producing plant. The residue of this plant is said to have healing properties and is also widely used in the perfume industry, the name of this ingredient is "Storax". Marmaris is spread over 400.000 sq metres so the development of the tourism industry has strengthened the local livelihoods of the fishing and farming communities which have been around for thousand of years. The production of the more common olive oil and honey in particular are still being produced.

Another resource that the area can boats of is the drinking water, which has given it's name to the town. The spring water is located at the right corner of Icmeler bay and consist of many minerals. The population in Icmeler is estimated at ten thousand people, that includes locals and many foreigners who have settled here to live a healthy life in the sun with stunning surroundings.
